• The Road, Pt. 1

I met Nikhil in Ft. Worth, Texas in April 2021. I was there for only 1 day for a Nike shoot, and he DM’d me and we met up and got BBQ. Fast forward 2 years, he was spending a few months in NYC, and offered to help out around the studio. Paige, him and I did a huge studio cleanup and storage run, and I’m grateful to have the both of them to offer a slightly less emotionally charged viewpoint on what to keep/throw/store. Nikhil’s post-New York plan was to go back to India after a decade to work on a project loosely focusing on his grandparents and family history, with the goal of hopefully producing a book. So before leaving for India, we spent some time at my apartment looking through books together for some inspiration, and we listened to The Road Pt. 1 by Unkle. It’s always nice to look at my own library through someone else’s eyes, and was extra special to look through a dummy copy of The Wedding, which I’m planning to release soon. Nikhil just got to India, so I thought it was a fitting time to release this book about books and the possibility of future books.
