Coming of Age at Spazio Maiocchi

A group exhibition presented by Virgil Abloh in collaboration with Little Big Man Gallery at Spazio Maiocchi Milan from September 19-23, 2019.

Presented by Virgil Abloh in collaboration with Little Big Man Gallery, “COMING OF AGE” is a travelling group exhibition exploring boyhood and youth through the work of internationally renowned photographers from different generations, including Nobuyoshi Araki, Ari Marcopoulos, Ed and Deanna Templeton, Lucien Clarke, Inez & Vinoodh, Julian Klincewicz, Mohamed Bourouissa and Jim Goldberg.

Following previous iterations in Paris, Los Angeles and Beijing, the exhibition will take place at Spazio Maiocchi on the occasion of Milan Fashion Week, opening on 19 September with an interactive workshop open to the public during which viewers will be able to curate and assemble their own limited-edition zine.

Nick Sethi, an American-born photographer of Indian heritage living in New York City, will be a protagonist of the Milan iteration curated by KALEIDOSCOPE by taking over the billboard in the courtyard of Spazio Maiocchi and presenting a body of work exploring India’s rapidly changing identity through the lens of gender and technology.
